Gavin turns 6 on the 17th, but we celebrated today.

My little man is growing up!

The tall kid with me is Hunter, 13.

(I really hope this embed video works, if I can't get it to work, I will post a link.)

And when you turn six you REALLY ARE a king!

He's been so excited.  I really love this age.  Every day for the last two weeks, be bounded into our room first thing in the morning, sometimes when the sun wasn't even up, yammering about how MUCH FUN his party is going to beeeee!!

hahahah.

Tomorrow I *may* get a break from it, but not holding my breath.

He is a Star Wars FANATIC.  It is so weird because I liked Star Wars when I was a kid...and I still like it, (some episodes better than others, I hate when Anikan goes to the dark side, YUKO).

I'm exhausted, but have hours of research ahead of me......

brings back memories T.  I used to do lots of birthday parties when the boys were little.  My three boys had their birthdays a month apart so I had to do three parties in three consecutive months.  Sometimes I would blend two together (they were 11 months apart) and they could each invite 5 friends for a total of 12 and we'd go to the animal farm or pizza place for their parties....that way no messes to clean up later.

I think that's the first time I've seen your husband and Hunter.......maybe I'll meet them soon in person.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO GAVIN!! + =

Happy Birthday Gavin!  Good grief, Hunter is as tall as Adam who is 14, and taller than me right now too! They grow so much! That looked like a smashing party btw!

I'm a smidge under 5'4" and he's is taller than me...he just turned 13 in November.  Gavin is going to take after my husband's mom I think and be a small guy (the small part, not the guy part, hahaha).  He is 6 and barely weighs 43 pounds....of course he is non-stop motion.

It was fun, thanks Donna.

Maybe.  Hope so.

One wears me down.  There were 10 kids total, including Gavin and it was fun..but tiring, and sweaty...hahahah.

I'm on sugar overload....buttercream frosting.....YUM...

Ever since that one picture of Gavin standing with the squirrel I really fell in love with him. Now, I  know who he reminds me of. The boy who played Spanky in the new Little Rascals, the Welch's grape juice boy. Or at least has that same vibe going. So flippin' cute.

Now Hunter, wow, he is for sure looking like a teenager. Once they hit that mark they just keep growing and growing. Why won't they stay our little babies?

Thanks for sharing the pictures. You can't go wrong with a star wars kid.

We argue over the hair, I hate the hair.  But his dad handles it.  (And you can see he doesn't think hair is all that...hahaha.)

Hunter is getting into the hungry all the time stage I always heard about.  I love that my one time picky eater is now like that dog on the Bacon commercials....sniff sniff...bacon, bacon, bacon, I smell bacon!  hahahaha

He'll eat almost anything now, so long as its not a real green vegetable.

He's my little man.  He received Lego Star Wars and is building stuff right now.  It is too funny, the stuff he comes up with.  Oh and Bendaroos!  He loves those too.

What a great cake!  My mother used to make cakes like that for my siblings and I when we were growing up.  It looks like the kids all had a lot of fun on the day too.  Thanks for sharing the joy of the moment.

It was good, but the kids were all too busy playing to really do it justice...oh well, more for me!

Haha...Max our 16 year old has the same hair. I don't know how it doesn't drive them crazy in their eyes. Since Max is being good with everything else, I am picking my battles.
