And how can I fix it?
Published on March 4, 2008 By Tova7 In Personal Computing

After watching Island Dog's excellent tutorial on Live Wire I decided to try it for more than just text.

When I try to use Live Writer and insert photos/videos/maps it gives me this message.

What am I doing wrong?

My picture host is Photobucket.

Here is the message I get...

Error occurred while transferring file map2047f647aa18.jpg

(Publishing Error) A publishing error occurred: File Transfer Error - Error occurred while connecting to file destination

(Hostname Not Found) The specified hostname does not exist.

Are you using the "insert picture" button in Live Writer?

Tova7, if you need a quick response to a question IRC is a better avenue. Generally with the forums you'll need to give it at least a few hours to have the right person read and reply.

The question, Tova - Have you got the photobucket URL specified correctly?  Usually, the invalid/unknow hostname's only given when the DNS server can't resolve the host name.  When that happens, it's either an invalid name or a typo'd name.  With me, it's usually the latter.

Here's a question right back at ya...where do I get the URL? hahaha

I was using the URL of the picture I have there.

Is that the right one?
