I miss Bakerstreet.

Even though part of the time I didn't understand what he was saying, (that was my inability not his), he gave JU a certain intellectual sophistication and wit.  I looked forward to reading him along with my other JU favorites.

Anyone know him in real life?  How is his health?  How's his family?

I miss Bakerstreet!

I miss him too. He has very similar world views to me. Which means, naturally we clash.
I learned the most from Baker when we disagreed.
I "get" much more from JU than I give. For pretty much the same reason as you, time. You should go ahead and post. You don't have to be prolific or even right....unless of course you HAVE to be right....then it can take serious time. hahaNope, I don't have to be right. But I do like to be understood. I figure that if someone doesn't understand my message properly, then I probably haven't delivered as well I could. Which takes time. Hence the problem.I also feel that if I start a thread and others respond to it, that I owe them the courtesy of at least acknowledging their input. And since you never know when something that you've written will take off, I like to know that I have the time availabe to reply.

I get that.  You are a "responsible" blogger.  Nothing wrong with that.  I hope to see you blogging here though sometime in the future.  Ya sound pretty interesting!
