I was covered in dirt today (tilling flower beds and moving dirt) when a Col who works with my hubby pulled up to deliver these.....

It was such a nice surprise.  I used to tell my husband not to get me flowers, it was a waste of money since they just die.  Now I cherish every bloom.

So to all the mom's on JU, I want to share these with you.

Happy Mother's Day.

Aww, so sweet.

I get a lot of flowers this deployment. I know Adrian is worried about me, and anytime I seem to not be doing very well there's always chocolates or a CD or a book in the mail and flowers.

I can't say I don't love it!

He sent me a collection of love letters (To The One Person I Consider To Be My Soulmate) for Mother's Day, and I have flowers coming this weekend.

It's nice to be appreciated.

Yes, isn't is amazing that we can get gifts from our men when they are in hell? I mean, er, well HELL. hahah.

I have trained my husband not to get me gifts. I have him (which frankly is the best freakin gift ever), and I get what I need/want when I need/want it. But occasionally he surprises me and I love it.

LOL I know what you mean. If I didn't have kids, I wouldn't remember. But they both brought me little flowers they grew from seeds (at school). Those teachers sure do remind the kids of mother's day...gotta love that! hahahaha

Ah, Loca. You're welcome. I hope you are treated like a queen on Sunday. You deserve it.

Ditto on the sharing part! That is so sweet of your hubby! BTW, I love to dry flowers and you can get more life out of those if you like. Wrap them in a dry cloth, or newspaper or bag and put in a dark cool place for about two to three days. They dry just as they are! They last for a while in that condition and you can also purchase a special spray that will help them to stay firm.

Happy Mom's day to you too!

Thanks Donna, I may try that.
